(DK-94-38)   Antique
1'4" x 6'1" (41cm x 185cm)
Iran, Northeast Persia: Early 20th Century, or earlier
Flat-weave: wool
An interesting weaving from the Baluch tribes, possibly an opened up bag or cushion - we have several examples of this type and have not been able to find reliable information regarding their specific use. Intricately woven in weft-substitution technique.

It is very sturdy and can be used on the floor. It also makes an excellent table runner or wall hanging.
