A beautiful antique kilim from Central Turkey featuring the ever-popular prayer arch, or "mihrab," design. The dramatic empty center in red is topped with a stepped arch ending in Horn-like shapes, flanked by highly stylized tulips, the quintessential Turkish flower. Despite utilizing well-known motifs, the overall composition is very creative and unique. A great example of a venerable tradition.
