A lovely old example of this well-known, so-called "Komurcu" type from Kula, one of the most prolific weaving centers of Western Turkey.

With tulips and carnations and a profusion of other stylized floral forms, these rugs are direct descendants of Ottoman Turkish weavings from the classical period.
Condition & Remarks
Very well preserved, sturdy and clean. Minor damage to the flat-woven end.
