A fantastic, cheerful old tribal rug by the Herki Kurds who inhabit the remote mountainous regions along the Turkish-Iraqi-Iranian border where authentic weaving traditions continued far longer than in other parts of Turkey. Wonderful colors, great details, notice the elaborate braiding of the fringes. Very sturdy, with thick, glossy wool.
