An unusually large embroidered cover, called a "suzani", made in a style attributed to the city of Tashkent in Uzbekistan - a lovely example from the later periods when the country was part of the Soviet Union.
Used as ceremonial bed covers and wall hangings, pieces like this are associated with local wedding customs.

Well preserved and complete with a few small repairs - a few minor stains remain despite cleaning.
