(DK-121-62)
4'1" x 5' (124cm x 152cm)
Turkey, Central Anatolia: Mid-20th Century
Knotted pile: wool
An old rug from Central Turkey in the "tülü" tradition with soft and shaggy pile, woven entirely with hand-spun wool, in two tones of red. A couple of small motifs in the center appear to be flowers or stars. A very charming and unusual example.
Condition & Remarks
Very well preserved, sturdy and clean - a visibly worn spot adds to its charm
