A large antique flat-woven carpet from Azerbaijan, made in the intricate “sumak” brocading technique with a variant of the so-called “dragon” design, presumably inspired by a group of earlier carpets from this region featuring stylized dragons.

Very well preserved, with gentle wear and minor repairs - sturdy and clean
