A pair of very large tribal flat-weaves from Southeastern Turkey, woven with goat hair and wool in natural dark brown, gray and beige bands, sprinkled with brightly colored thin stripes.
Kilims like these would have been used as utilitarian, everyday floor covers in the weavers' household. Despite their humble origins, they are very appealing with their authentic simplicity.
Each kilim consists of three vertical panels: all panels will be separated, rearranged and sewn again. The maximum total size is 17' 9" x 18'.
