A closely matching pair of tribal long rugs (runners) by the Bakhtiari of Southwest Iran. Such rugs were meant to be laid side by side or used to cover the "divan", the long seats along the walls of a room in traditional homes throughout Iran, Turkey and other neighboring countries.
These two can be joined together or used as individual runners. The dimensions of each piece are 3' 10" x 12' 6" and 3' 9" x 12' 11".
