A wonderful old tribal flat-weave from Northeastern Turkey, woven in wide runner format that is common among the nomadic groups of this region. This high quality piece is decorated with densely executed bands of "jijim" brocading in harmonious colors. Despite its age, it is very well preserved and quite sturdy.
