A lovely old shaggy rug in the "tulu" tradition from Central Turkey, intended to provide warmth and comfort as a bed or blanket. The weaver probably intended to make flowers, but those motifs look like red hot peppers to us - hence the name.

Very well preserved, sturdy and clean
