An old tribal rug from West Central Turkey, coarsely woven with long strands of colorful angora goat hair (mohair.) Such rugs were used as beds, blankets and wall covers to provide warmth and comfort in village homes. The multicolored concentric diamonds is a well-known design, but this rug stands out with its quality and brilliant color palette. (It is very colorful on the reverse side and can also be used upside down.)

Very well preserved, sturdy and clean
