West Anatolian Long Rug

(DK-89-17)
4'10" x 10'6" (147cm x 320cm)
Turkey, West Anatolia
Knotted pile: wool
A great example of Anatolian village weaving traditions featuring a design attributed to the Afyon-Dazkiri region. A very charming rug with brilliant colors and lots of interesting details, which, combined with the chunkier weave, points to a nomadic origin rather than a product of village workshops.
Condition & Remarks
Very well preserved, sturdy and clean
