A very interesting, unusual Kurdish tribal cover from Eastern Turkey, possibly intended as a "pardah", a wall hanging or tent divider. The basic striped "jajim" weave is interrupted by colorful bands in slit tapestry and the piece is embellished with colorful tassels. This is a very sturdy piece that can be used as a floor cover or hung on a wall.
