A tribal rug from Central Turkey made in felt technique - matting, condensing and pressing wool fibers, possibly the oldest form of fabric. Felt rugs were the everyday floor covers in nomads' tents and village homes in Turkey and Central Asia.

Very well preserved, sturdy and clean.
