6'2" x 9' (188cm x 274cm) Turkey, Central Anatolia: Circa 1900 Knotted pile: wool, goat hair
$5,950
A rare antique tribal rug from Central Turkey, with thick, shaggy pile, originally meant to function as a bed in the weaver’s household - “yatak” means bed in Turkish.
Apparently quite old judging by its naturally dyed colors, it is also unusually large for its kind, making it a rare find.
