Flat-weave, with faux pile: angora
An old blanket from Eastern Turkey, woven with the fine, soft hair of the indigenous angora goat, also known as mohair. An older example of excellent quality; in rare large format, woven in four narrow panels.

It can be used on the floor in low traffic, but perhaps better as a wall hanging, or a blanket as originally intended.
