A classical beauty - an old carpet from Central Turkey with a small pattern floral design, rendered on a very pleasing burnt orange background.
Carpets like these were woven for the local Turkish market rather than export, often to much higher quality standards than what we see in modern production today. This is a very nice example with excellent wool and in very good state of preservation.
