A very large tribal flat-weave from Southeastern Turkey, woven with goat hair in natural tones of dark brown, gray and ivory, in addition to thin stripes of orange, red and blue. A kilim like this would have been used as a utilitarian, everyday floor cover in the weaver's household. Despite its humble origins, this is a very appealing piece with authentic simplicity.
