An old tribal rug from Central Turkey in the "tulu" tradition with soft and shaggy pile, woven entirely with un-dyed wool in natural tones. Such rugs were originally used as beds. The word "tulu" means hairy in Turkish, describing the long and thick pile. This is a particularly good example of the type with good wool, great patina and real age.
