A great example of this type. Shaggy rugs like this, with long strands of angora goat hair (mohair) in brilliant colors, were woven in West-Central Turkey, the natural habitat of the Angora goat, an indigenous species. The word angora derives from Ankara, Turkey's capital.
Condition & Remarks
Very well preserved, sturdy and clean.
