(DK-103-109)
3'11" x 7'7" (119cm x 231cm)
Turkey, Central Anatolia: Mid-20th Century
Knotted pile: wool
A charming old village rug from the highly prolific Konya province in Central Turkey, with many familiar motifs, but with a unique composition featuring beautifully drawn bouquets of flowers at the two ends of the field. A very nice example of a vanishing tradition. Very well preserved, as it appears to have been very sparingly used.
Condition & Remarks
