A beautiful old textile from Turkey, possibly from Istanbul proper, that was probably intended as a cover for the cushions that were among the essential furnishings of traditional Turkish homes, before the arrival of Western-style furniture. Block printed cotton with additional embroidery at the ends. A lovely example in small-scale, professionally mounted on linen and ready to be framed.
