A great antique tribal rug from the Khorasan province in Eastern Iran, woven by one of the tribal groups generally referred to as Baluch. Deep saturated colors, highly stylized geometric designs are hallmarks of this region's weaving traditions. Displaying a fairly well-known design, this one is a real gem with incredibly soft and shiny wool and high quality weave. The use of white "snow flakes" is particularly pleasing. In excellent state of preservation.
