An antique rug woven by the Bakhtiari tribes featuring the so-called "gol farang" design. Literally meaning "foreign flower" or "French rose", and possibly inspired by European textiles, this was a popular design in many weaving regions of Iran. One of the most graceful renderings of this type we've ever seen with a subtle color palette.
Condition & Remarks
Gentle wear consistent with age; some well-done repairs. Sturdy, clean and complete.
