A beautiful old kilim of large and square-ish proportions from the border region between Serbia and Bulgaria, which has a centuries-old tradition of kilim weaving, older examples from the region are called Sharkoy, the old Turkish name of the town of Pirot, the commercial hub of the region. This is a relatively young example but of very high quality and with a pleasing color palette. In excellent state of preservation.
