An unusually large and very sturdy flat-weave from Azerbaijan of relatively recent vintage, perhaps circa 1970s, woven in the style of old Kuba kilims, although the old ones are usually narrower and longer. The wool and weaving quality is excellent, the piece is very sturdy and in excellent state of preservation. Very useful, almost square format.
