Most nomadic tribes of Anatolia (Turkey) wove their kilims in two symmetric halves, using their narrow looms. This is one of the panels of such a kilim, possibly woven by the Rashwan Kurds of Eastern Turkey. A very nice example with great natural dyes and in excellent state of preservation. It can be used as a runner on the floor, a table runner, a wall hanging or perhaps draped over a long sofa.
Condition & Remarks
