Woven by the Ait Bou Ichaouen, who inhabit the far eastern reaches of the country on the edge of the Sahara, this wonderful rug displays the characteristic exuberance and vibrant color palette of this tribe's weavings. The most isolated of Morocco's Berber tribes, the Ait Bou Ichaouen had very little outside influence until the last decades of the 20th century.
