A lovely old tribal rug from Central Turkey, woven with the lustrous hair of the Angora goat, also known as mohair, dip dyed in saffron yellow. A row of red and green knots is an unusual feature. Such rugs were used as beds, blankets and wall covers to provide warmth and comfort in village homes.

Very well preserved, sturdy and clean
