Classic English country house look. A very large antique Persian carpet from the Kurdish provinces of Western Iran. The so-called "harshang" design is well-known in the northwest Persian carpets and represents a late 19th century interpretation of centuries-old themes of classical Persian traditions. The carpet is in very good state of preservation with gentle overall wear and some minor professional repairs.
