A lovely antique kilim from Eastern Turkey, with soft color palette and of unusually large size. Such large kilims were ordered for wealthy local patrons from villages where skilled tribal weavers could be contracted for such work. This concentric diamond design is well known in the region. One of the best and oldest examples of this type we have encountered in recent years. It is also in remarkable state of preservation.
